Day three was another amazing day! We first went to the Warsaw - TopicsExpress

Day three was another amazing day! We first went to the Warsaw Uprising Museum which was very informative and interactive, although, I must say I noticed what was not told, as there was almost no acknowledgement of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. However, we quickly made up for this with the trip to the Jewish Historical Institute (Żydowski Instytut Historyczny). WOW! A great movie about the Warsaw ghetto, and two amazing exhibitions - one of moving drawings by a Hungarian Jewish artist, Imre Ámos, who died on a death march. But, the drawings that he did during the war were lyrical, full of stories. The second exhibition was one of young Polish artists, Hate Speech - I exclude the exclusion. - really thoughtful artwork, even some film and a beautiful stop-motion animation by a 22-year-old woman. I then met with Angieszka Reszka of the Ringelblum Archives, who had pulled several documents from our survivors lives. After a short break, some of us went to the Polish cemetery, and others went to Old Town. Some took naps ;)... a good end to a really provocative day! Tomorrow... Lodz! Walking Witnesses.... can you add some details here in the comments, too? :)
