Day22 Praising God For His Abundance I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly - john 10:10 NKJV Gods gifts are available to all, but they are not guaranteed; those gifts must be claimed by those who chose to follow Christ. As believers, we are free to except Gods gifts, or not; that choice, and the consequences that result from it, are ours and ours alone. The 10th chapter of John tells us that Christ came to earth so that our lives might be filled with abundance. But what, exactly, did Jesus mean when He promised life...more abundantly? Was Jesus referring to material possessions or financial wealth? Hardly. When Jesus declared Himself the shepherd of mankind (John 10:7-9), He offered a different kind of abundance: a spiritual richness that extends beyond the temporal boundaries of this world. If you are a thoughtful believer, you will open yourself to Christs spiritual abundance by following Him completely and without reservation. When you do,you will receive the love. the peace, and joy that He has promised. Do you sincerely seek the riches that our Savior offers to those who give themselves to Him? Then follow Him--and receive the blessings that He has promise. When you establish an intimate, passionate relationship with Christ, you are then free to claim the love, the protection, and the spiritual abundance that the Shepherd offers His sheep. A prayer for grace I praise You, Lord, for the abundant life given through Your Son Jesus Christ. You have blessed me beyond measure. Make me faithful steward of the gifts You have given me so that I may share Your abundance will all who cross my path, Amen Got to love devotionals :)
