#Day42: I once saw here on FB a staged scene of a guy hitting his wife and everyone ran to help her. A bit later, the same actors do the same thing except that it is now the wife hitting the man. And everyone else just stood there and watched. Im on the KayaFM cruise with my sister and friends and weve been witnessing this drunk woman screaming at her man, insulting and pulling him by the clothes, slapping him around then daring him to beat her up- all morning, through customs, checking in and boarding. So shes been at it for hours and she just cant stop. Yes, we were livid, shocked but nobody came to this guys rescue. He still contained himself and did and said absolutely nothing. We speak about stopping abuse of women and children. I support that. But what happens to the men who are verbally, emotionally, financially and physically abused? As a society we believe men must just toughen up and take it. But when and where do we draw the line? Its gonna be a very long cruise for this man. Ausi o wa betha, o tshela thupa, shes ready to kick anybodys ass. Please, lets give a thought to our men. As much as there bad men, I think we also have good ones trapped by bullies. And as much as we see women as victims, there are women monsters who are ready to mess some guy up. #70DaysOfThisAndThat
