#Day8 It has become overwhelmingly apparent that a majority of you have subscribed to the notion that these posts carry a tone of sarcasm. I would like to take a brief moment today to discredit said notion. I assure you all that I write these with the utmost sincerity. While one could PERHAPS argue that the issues and situations I encounter in my life are not as pressing and/or dire as that of most other people in the world, I urge you to broaden your perspective. We are all shaped by our cultures. The gravity of issues we wrestle with really becomes relative to our upbringings. Psychologically speaking, there is no difference from when a child in Mexico comes home to find his family slaughtered by warring drug lords and when I come home and cant find my phone charger. In both situations, our brains carry out the same chemical process wherein the release of dopamine is restricted and the result is the loss of joy. The specific details of each respective situation are negligible. For those of you that hold yourselves in such high esteems that you feel validated in the use of your swift swords of judgement, I strongly usher you towards your nearest library. Read a book and humble yourselves, lest you find yourselves enthralled in and obtaining your news exclusively from the excrement-filled throngs of social media sites and internet chat rooms. Today, I find my joy and my happiness in the fact that Im not like you. #100dayshappy
