Dayo Williams wrote: Dear Governor Ayo Fayose, Greetings. You really goofed, Sir. And I hope you apologise to the northerners before its too late. Some of us will not allow you to rest. Well not accept any rationalisation of the utterly distasteful advert you ran today. Your principal needs the votes of northerners to win his re-election. He is not even sure of the entire votes of the south, yet, in an attempt to be seen to be working, you ran an advert that insulted the sensibilities of the northerners. You reminded them of the death of their beloved brothers in Murtala Mohammed and Abacha. Or you think some of them dont love Abacha? As much as President Jonathan can adore and love DSP Alamayesigha in spite of bleeding Bayelsa to death during his reign as the governor, some folks down north will definitely like Abacha in death. We know how polarised the country is, yet you are there in Ado Ekiti running a potentially inflammatory political advert. Are you now God, dear governor, whos the author of death? How soon you forgot our history? I doubt if our history even means anything to you because your actions and utterances do not portray you as someone who learns from his own personal history.. Even as recent as 2006! Just so you know, the Lord of the Manor in Ekiti state that you are, Murtala Mohammed was assassinated in a military coup in February 1976.. He did not kill himself... Abacha died in questionable circumstances. Till date, the Nigerian public does not know what actually killed him.. The only person that died in power as a result of illness was President Yardua. I would wish you remain where your capacity is and dont drag the name of Ekiti state in the mud because of some fleeting political loyalty that will fade before your very eyes soon... Just so you know again, death is no function of age nor sickness.. It can happen to anyone.
