DeViine is seeking a back-end web developer to add to our growing team. SUMMARY: Responsibilities include website development, ongoing maintainence and exploration of new features and tools to implement. REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer TITLE: Web Developer RESPONSIBILITIES: Website development from static .PDF designs. Development and implement a security plan. Ongoing website maintainence. Ensure cross-browser compatibility. Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DeViine’s data and servers. Identify and implement technology trends and platforms. Communicate the company’s technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders. Evaluate and recommend technologies. Implement web-based internal communications system. Analyze, identify and troubleshoot issues encountered in production and/or reported by customers/users by investigating and conducting in-depth research and debugging code. Clearly communicate ideas to other developers, teammates and management. Work with management to set realistic but optimistic deadlines. Ability to organize workflow to accomplish tasks by predefined deadline. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions. Monitors operating efficiency of existing systems. Refactor code to optimize performance and simplify code management. Provide technical guidance and training to other developers within the organization. Initiate periodic testing and implement contingency plans in case of systems failure. Support existing infrastructure. Monitor web analytics regime to ascertain site traffic. Develop and present analytical data to other executives. Implement technical requirements for Internet marketing and search engine optimization. Establish a Beta testing process. QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in the field of computer science or software engineering. 2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience working with or developing a database driven website or app. Search engine optimization experience. Live websites or apps that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of skills needed. A will to learn new technologies and articulate how they can be of assistance. Familiar with and/or open to a wide variety of programming languages. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Keen attention to detail. BONUS: Firebase knowledge. BONUS: Startup experience. BONUS: App development experience.
