Dea Beavers Testimony! My name is Dee Beavers and I first heard of Plexus Slim back in November 2013 (through Facebook). The ER doctor determined after a CT Scan that she had a cyst on her right kidney that ruptured and they immediately transported her to Dell Childrens Hospital at 4:00am the next morning. Several visits with a urologist (who I credit with saving her life) it was determined she needed surgery. Even that morning, her surgeon/urologist said he really didnt think it was a mass/tumor and she would be out of surgery in a couple of hours. Four (4) hours later he came out to tell us that not only did she have a tumor, but she had three (3). The cyst that ruptured exposed the tumors. Again, the child never had a kidney infection, bladder infection, pain in her side until that night I took her to the ER. One was malignant and it was the type of tumor that was extremely rare for a child her age (normally occurs in younger children). They had to take her right kidney and immediately began chemo and radiation for the next six (6) months. She immediately became part of several research studies and doctors around the world have taken part in her diagnosis and treatment. She will be monitored for the rest of her life because of this and its rarity. My life, my world, my everything came to a screeching halt in that moment when the doctor came out of surgery to tell us this. The proverbial wind was knocked out of me and I wondered how this could happen and what I did wrong. Turns out, I did nothing wrong and thankfully I had amazing people around me to remind me of my faith. I always knew God had an amazing plan for this little female I gave birth to, and even though this isnt the path I imagined for her, there is no doubt in my mind that she will take this mess and make a message out of it! I will follow her lead and Gods lead and give praise to my Lord in Heaven! Micayla had her last chemo on October 25, 2013 and is Cancer Free! Praise Jesus! Whew... With that said, I gained a lot of weight during this last year! I needed something that didnt really require a whole lot of planning, needed something simple, needed something that tasted good or else I wouldnt do it, and definitely wanted something that didnt make me feel jittery or nauseous!
