Deadlift tips from Andy Bolton On the Deadlift, many people mess up the set up. And if the set-up is wrong, everything else will be wrong from then on. When setting up for the deadlift, here are some things you should be doing, regardless of your pulling style: - Squeeze the bar as hard as you can - Make sure your arms are straight (no bending at the elbow) - Your abs must be tight - Your lats must be tight - Cheung likes to focus eyes just in front of the toes - create tension at the bottom rather than the top - keep reps low and heavy - add light speed work - keep bar path close to shins and thigh
