Deadline ends: Muslim convert yet to return daughter to mum PETALING JAYA (June 6): Despite a High Court order to return their daughter to his ex-wife, M Indira Gandhi by today, Muslim convert Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah has failed to do so. The deadline of the court order issued last week, ended at noon today but instead Mohd Ridzuan, formerly known as K. Patmanathan said that one week was too short of a notice to make up his mind. Speaking to fz, Indiras lawyer Ipoh Barat MP, M Kulasegaran said that Mohd Ridzuans lawyer, Anas Fauzi came to see him in his office today to convey this message. His lawyer said that he has been advised in no uncertain terms to return the child but (Mohd Ridzuan) said that the court order was too short a notice for him to make a decision (whether to return the child), he said. Kulasegaran argued that there was no question of limited time for Indiras estranged husband to come up with a decision as the civil court had first granted custody, four years ago in 2010.
