Deadpool Classic volume 9 (Actual issues May 2002 - feb 2003 / TPB - Dec 2013) This Collection covers the closing story arc in Deadpools first original run, issues 65 - 69, followed by the first 6 issues in the Agent X series. Taskmaster appears in 9 out 11 issues in the volume. Until I looked into it recently, I actually believed that the rumors about Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld getting into a legal dispute with Marvel caused the cancellation of the original Deadpool series resulting in the launch / spinoff / reboot to the new title Agent X. The original Deadpool series was actually so doing poorly in terms of sales that Marvel decided to rebrand the character under a new title that had X in it in the hopes of the title being more closely identified with the more popular X-Men franchise. At the helm of this revamp was writer Gail Simone, who worked with UDON to provide the manga -esque art for most of these issues. Issue 65 takes place directly after the 2002 Taskmaster mini - series, where Sandi began working as DPs secretary for Deadpool inc. Tho not directly stated, it was implied that Sandi got the job on TMs reccomendation.
