Deaf PUPPY - NC - NEEDS LOVING HOME - Meet Bailey! He is a gorgeous blue/red merle 10 month old Australian Cattle Dog. His coloration is very unique as he appears to almost have a diluted look to his merle coat. He came into the Burnsville, NC shelter as a stray. He was almost hit by a car on a main road. Since being at the shelter and following an examination from the veterinarian, it has been determined that Bailey is almost totally deaf. We suspect that he has some sensation to vibration and will react if an extremely loud noise occurs near his ear. He is loving and playful, and especially enjoys chasing shadows! He also gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He seems to be very smart and we think he will learn signs very quickly. He does seem to be housebroken and should do well in that area with some continued positive reinforcement. Bailey has been neutered and is current on his shots.
