Deaf family currently seeking asylum (Australia) A deaf family are currently seeking asylum in Australia and have been detained in an Australian detention center for a significant amount of time. With no access to sign language interpreters, communication is a significant barrier. They are extremely isolated. They have not had access to an interpreter for any interview or medical appointment which is their human right. *Unfortunately their names or details cannot be shared as it may place their family in their home country at risk.
