Dear All A very warm welcome to our January meeting . This will be held this week at HIllingdon Park Baptist Church Hercies Road Hillingdon on Thursday 08th January from 1pm to 3pm Please note permanent slightly later time due to work commitments Karen / Maria can you possible able to make it at 1230 just incase we have any newcomers . I need to change the time on the websites too . This year we are saddened by the loss of our member brain tumour hero Dave but see his life as a celebration and an truly amazing gentleman any memory tributes please share on facebook or via myself . Dave will always be with us and our thoughts and prayers and support go with you Josie in the next few months that lie ahead . The funeral will be Friday 23rd January at 12.15 pm Breakspear Crem please let me know if you like to attend . When your ready Josie and your family and also for everyone information please do use our contacts of Martina and Sudha who both have recently lost their loved ones and are on the same journey they can offer you and all of us extremely amazing advice and support and love . We also have contacts for cruse bereavement for anyone that has experienced loss of a family member or loved one . Thank you ladies for you offer . On a lovely note Emma and her children had a trip to,Disneyland paid for by Halo Children foundation what an amazing generous gift and I think Emma we all agree you and your children so deserve the break we looking forward to seeing the pictures and updates on Kevin . We also wish Amisha good luck with her surgery of gamma knife in the next couple of weeks and our thoughts and healing prayers are with you and once again were here for you . Anyone wanting to share their gamma knife experiences let me know . Its close to my heart as thats exactly what I need to have if mine little t doesnt behave itself ! Angela this may interest you as Amisha is having her gamma knife in London hospital. Linking to that if anyone has any made masks or is up for a hospital trip could they please do ask if we can have any mesh masks or please keep your own they are great to decorate and I like to do a selection of crafts to raise awareness called behind the mask hopefully we may be able to show them at uxbridge library . This year will be seeing some amazing positiveness for our group with extra meetings on a saturday hope to have the dates soon and also some exercise classes to encourage the muscles and the brain . You may remember Rebecca from Eplipsey centre offering to take classes so watch this space ! Dont forget also in February we have love yourself month and our meeting will be a pamper session with Relaxation techniques and massages etc etc As you all known this is an extremely popular event and so worth taking an afternoon of work for , everyone can have at least 2/3 sessions it so good !!You also will receive a beautiful little gift made with love . Details will be sent out shortly . Finally we are looking at getting our own hero teeshirts out for us all these will be free to group members and helpers and will be sold to public . One of our lovely Ladies Chelsi a great friend of mine is running a half marathon for our group so once again please keep an eye out on the website for information on sponsorship we are extremely grateful to Chelsi for all her hard work in the months of training to follow and also that she chose our charity ! Ian did you manage to get the stair climber ? We now also have a friends of Hillingdon Brain tumour group we have our new member Cllr Teji Barnes thank you Teji for supporting our charity please try to encourage all friends and family to become a member . I shall bring the applications with me on Thursday everyone is welcome and all help and support at meetings much appreciated . Any weekly amount is appreciated minimum £1 a week . Our many thanks go to Cllr Judith Cooper our local Cllr for your offer of support if possible can we meet up at some point soon maybe even after Thursday meeting to discuss ? Finally please remember we offer free breaks down on the cost to all our group ! So do use it !
