Dear All Construction Workers and Employers MANWU is hereby to inform you to implement the 9% increase with is effect from the 15th September 2013. All Constructions employees are requested to check their payslip end of September or October if the increase is implemented. Please take note that the General Worker aka. Labourer are to earn 12.11 per hour. Other job categories are also adjusted. Please visit our offices countrywide to get the new minimum wage rates list. This is per the agreement between MANWU and CIF only and no any other trade union or organisations involve in this agreement. MANWU and CIF have a national Recognition Agreement, where MANWU is recognised a sole bargaining agent within the construction industry in Namibia since 1993. No any other Trade Union is part of this agreement only MANWU and CIF. Please implement the rates now if not, you will be required to back pay the workers if we noted it or the Labour Inspectors that you have not adjusted the employees rates.
