Dear All, I had the chance to join Abiyot on his visit to St. Paul Hospital this afternoon. We met with an Egyptian Doctor who has been following up with his case. Having read the examination report from the International Laboratory, the Doctor has clearly informed us that Abiyots kidney disease is chronic - end stage kidney disease (stage 5). To make it worse, the disease has also caused a urinary tract infection - which he needs a treatment for. As the doctor pointed out, Abiyot needs either dialysis or kidney transplant in two months time - either of which he can afford or is prepared for. We expect the doctors signed report in the third week of September. In another note, these results were already reported from the Korean Hospital in Addis Ababa. However, Abiyot had to repeat the same process with the government hospital for the sake of official process for referal facilitation. Thanks for your generous support to save Abiyot...
