Dear All, The 83rd weekly interaction was held on March 2, 2014 on Sunday in Town Park with Shri Ram Khilawan in the chair. This interaction was co-ordinated by Shri Bipin Chaudhary. --First—the letter addressed to railway authorities was released for signatures. The members present signed it and will be sent to concerned requesting for immediate action. Just to give slight background of the issue..(The members had raised very important issues that the railways—slap penalty on people who simply cross over rail over head bridges connecting two parts of the city. The members had unanimously decided to register protest( writing letter to rail minister and DRMs) against this highhandedness of the ticket checkers deployed at railway stations. The draft letter, it was decided will be circulated among members on their emails for any amendment. Non issuance of EMU tickets( for travelling NCR towns like Faridabad) for the passengers boarding Delhi bound trains at stations of different states—was also raised). --Some members informed that senior railways officers were contacted in this connection, who also informed that crossing over on thorough-fares (non-ticketing areas) was legal. More details to follow once the letters reach them. --Second. Shri Romesh Chaudhary informed that receipt of invitation from a senior traffic police official to discuss the issue we had raised earlier about death of a child when, the two wheeler skidded off the highway on a rainy evening and plunged into a `pond’ due to dilapidated condition of roads. --Shri Chaudhary informed that the communication was immediately responded with the request to the officer concerned wishing his august presence on any of the weekly interaction, where the issue was raised, preferably the upcoming 84th one. --Road Safety issue once again came up for discussion. The members were unanimous in its decision to work for road safety campaigning at the earliest. However, Shri Jitender Joshi, Bipin Chaudhary and others will design the format seeking advice from Shri Devender Singhji. Other members are at liberty to give their valuable suggestions to the team. The concept, it was felt should be a unique and result oriented. Prof Kumari and others threw light on the issue and almost every member assured to be part of this campaign. --Shri Parshoram Mehto took up some parking related issue. The members welcomed four new youth in CCI fold, hoping that entire team lend their helping hand to them whenever needed. --Shri Jatin Singla once again volunteered to co-ordinate 84th interaction. --Those who made on spot contribution, as per Shri Naidu were-- Shri Bipin Chaudhary, Shri Jitender Joshi, Prabhu Razdan, Shri RM Naidu (himself), Shri R K Thapliyal, Shri Vijay Alohia and Prof DC Kumari.
