Dear Atdhe Mahmuti, Further to your email of January 27th, we - TopicsExpress

Dear Atdhe Mahmuti, Further to your email of January 27th, we have completed our investigation into your request to include the Republic of Kosovo into the Scotiabank database and I am responding to you on behalf of Scotiabank, as you requested. Please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience this matter has caused you. I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize for the delay in providing our written response. We understand you are concerned Scotiabank does not list Kosovo as part of our database systems making it difficult to transfer money from Canada to Kosovo. We have confirmed from our review, Western Union does list Kosovo in their database and wire transfers can be made via Scotia OnLine with daily and weekly maximums as well as associated fees. Currently, although Scotiabank does not list Kosovo as a selection of a destination country, outgoing wire payments can be remitted through local Scotiabank branches. Having said this, we appreciate it when customers take the time to pass along their comments so we can share them with the appropriate areas of the bank. As a result, although we are unable to confirm a specific date for implementation, we are pleased to announce our plans to make the required correspondent arrangements to add Kosovo as a new country to our database. We hope our explanation has clarified these matters for you. Having said this, should you be dissatisfied with the outcome of your concerns, the next step in the Scotiabank Complaint Resolution process is for you to contact the Scotiabank Ombudsman, Charles Dougall at: Scotiabank 44 King Street West Toronto, ON M5H 1H1 Tel# 1-800-785-8772 Fax# 416-933-3276 ombudsman@scotiabank Scotiabanks Ombudsman acts as an impartial review of complaints from retail and small business customers in Canada. Should you wish to contact him; the Ombudsmans office will determine if your concerns fall within his mandate. If your concerns fall outside his mandate, his office will still write to you explaining why. Thank you for writing, giving us an opportunity to investigate your concern and provide our response to you. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience this matter has caused you. Sincerely, Brenda M. Roy
