Dear Ben Affleck, I understand your desire to respect all religions, I really do. Trouble is, all belief systems are not created equal. When you say it’s racist to criticize religions, you’re forgetting that criticism of ideas and thoughts is what moves us forward as a society. You’re forgetting that religions prompt people to do all sorts of evil, from flying airplanes into buildings to evil as simple as justifying all manner of discrimination and actively working to deny rights to gays and others. Until this is no longer true, it is good and right and deserved to criticize the religious teachings that prompt people to commit such acts. And yes, Im well aware that there are plenty of religions that dont encourage such evils. Respectfully, Cap’n Parrotdead PS. You’ve made some very good films.
