Dear Best Managed State Managers, They are laughing AT us once again. Lets stop shooting Utah in the foot, again and again and again. The weird factor is killing well paying, non-polluting prospective Utah jobs. Corporate job placement people are horrified. It is turning off big spending, enjoy the fabulousness of Utah then go home tourists by the boatloads. Get DABC under control and tell them to use the common sense is this weird? filter before issuing pronouncements. Lately, examples of a completely out-of-touch DABC include demands of intent to dine affirmations and no beer at Oktoberfest. Weird. I can feel the whoooosh of jobs flying away. Best managers let people know that morality judgements need to be from the pulpit not from the classroom--unless their is pretty universal agreement (like, everyone agrees bringing guns to class is bad vs some controversy about covering shoulders in yearbooks). And, dont get me started on air pollution and public lands...
