Dear Burglers, I run my shop because I love it and I love my customers. Some weeks I barely make a profit but I meet great people and sell beautiful things. Let me just clarify, we barely take any cash and there is never any cash left in my shop, most people pay by card anyway. The charities who would have benefitted from the few pounds in the charity boxes you pinched will suffer as well from your visit last night, those charities include St Leonards Hospice...I hope you are never in dire need of the amazing services they are able to offer through donations from boxes such as the one you robbed from us last night. The makers whose goods you smashed are just normal mums, sisters and daughters who try to honestly make a few pounds for their families. Today, instead of spending the day with my son I am working with a security firm to install CCTV and other security devices and dealing with an insurance claim. You left with hardly anything, but did a senseless amount of damage. We will no longer have charity boxes in the shop. You will never find cash in the shop. You will find a hell of a lot more security though and a very angry farmers wife To all other customers we will be open as usual tomorrow.
