Dear CWA Illinois Leaders, Labor Activists and LPATs, Thank - TopicsExpress

Dear CWA Illinois Leaders, Labor Activists and LPATs, Thank you all for helping in making OUR state the leader among all CWA states in this NLRB campaign. We’ve gathered a large numbers of letters and calls- thanks to all of you. In addition to making the calls and signing those petition letters to Senator Kirk. We are NOW also asking that you submit letters to the editors to Illinois’ major newspapers. I’ve attached three different letters to this email. I ask that you take a moment to sign them both electronically and e-mail the newspapers. I also ask that you print up hard copies on your local’s letter head… or on stationary and send that via U.S. mail. This is going to take a little coordinating because we are asking that for next week, you submit one of the three letters each day, to each newspaper. And again, submit the letters both electronically and by U.S. mail to reinforce the point. Please get back to me to confirm when you’ve done so. The email addresses, mailing addresses and links to the papers are below. I’ve included contacts for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, The Daily Herald, The Peoria Journal Star and the State Journal-Register. One more thing!!! Please continue to call Senator Mark Kirk and let him know that he needs to vote in support of the President’s nominations to the NLRB, and tell your staff and e-board members to do so as well. The fight is not over. It’s expected to go on through July and possibly August. Please make the call today… and over and over again. His number is 202-224-2854. Again, let me know when you do so. Thank you again for all your help, your activism and your leadership!!! I’ll follow up with you all next week… for another batch of letters to the editors. In solidarity, J. Don V. Villar, Esq.
