Essential:- 5 to 9 Yrs Job Description: Location : Noida Skills: Description As a Configuration Management Engineer, the resource will be responsible for working as part of a matrixed environment collaboratively implementing advanced Configuration Management solutions across both the Infrastructure and Software layers (heavier emphasis on Infrastructure). Primarily, the individual will need to be capable of contributing to the overall design, implementation, and operation of those solutions. We are looking for someone who can think creatively and ignite innovation in the Configuration Management space. The resource may at times be expected to lead indirect teams or projects towards such efforts. The individual will also participate in evaluating, selecting and establishing standard tools, commercial products, processes and best practices that will drive the Configuration Management solutions. The resource will be expected to work both independently as well as with management and teams toward goals. We are seeking an individual that will have extensive IT infrastructure knowledge, focusing on configuration management across multiple platforms. Sufficient experience and understanding with Windows, Linux and AIX servers to implement configuration changes and enforce configuration management is necessary. Additionally, experience with configuring or enforcing configuration management around middleware components like WebSphere Application Server, jBoss Application Server, Oracle, DB2 and others is a must. Experience or knowledge with Mainframe is a big plus. Knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) is favorable. The individual should have experience with scripting and/or automation of configuration management or related processes. Furthermore, experience with configuration management tools and products are a plus. Knowledge of cloud capabilities including virtualization is desirable. Job Duties Include: * Assist team with defining solutions to automate configuration management in order to standardize and simply the process, leading to better release quality and overall controls * Contribute to definition and implementation of configuration management strategies to support automated provisioning of Wintel, AIX and Mainframe platforms * Partner with various stakeholder teams to help advance CM roadmap as a collaborative effort * Work independently as necessary to advance CM solutions as well as related projects * Identify process gaps, pinpoint potential areas for automation * Find ways to integrate processes and tools together for a streamlined CM solution set Experience: 5 to 8 Years Location: Noida Required Skills: * Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. * 5 or more years of experience with configuration management experience as an individual contributor * 3 or more years of infrastructure background in build, configuration and operation of Distributed Environments (Windows, Linux, AIX) * Experience and understanding of configuration and configuration management at the operating systems, network, middleware and application layers * Experience or familiarity with Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Experience with network design and configuration, especially firewalls with virtual networks * Knowledge and experience with various configuration management tools * Capability and experience with scripting processes and implementing automation * General ITIL, ITSM, and related IT process knowledge * Communication skills are going to be crucial for this position as the candidate will be required to interface with numerous stakeholders and other various partners.
