Dear Caped Crusaders, A couple of weeks ago i went down to visit my sister robyn and see her as i hadnt seen her for a while to catch up and see her and the kids and to spend some qaulity time. I went down and brought her a bunch of flowers and i was unaware of what was about to unfold. As you would know early last year my sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and after being wrongly diagnosed by her gp it was than later found by another gp. Since that date shes had Surgoury to remove the agressive visious lesion which most of it was removed by the surgoun and spurs where left, She also had double mersectomy and has been having chemotherapy and radiation treatment for the past year and a bit. Well the latest tests that have been done and they came back with negative results that has shocked the family. The cancer has spreaded into her chest, arm, back and has also spreaded into her sternum. The doctors have started a new type of drug which was told will prelong her life, but after a doctors wording of this in a conversation to my sisters husband he asked for the doctor to be straight with them and her responce was this new drug will be only be to prelong her life and will not heal her fully (so she will always have the cancer). The doctors Have given her a estimate of roughly 2 years to live but knowing our robyn she will do her best to defy the odds, every day the family prays that a new miracle drug will be released and that even the higher powers will help robyn and will take this awful cancer away from her. We ask at this time that you respect the familys ishes and that your respect robyn and lee and the kids privacy and to keep this information to yourself unless robyn chooses to tell you her self please. Saying this when told the information that day we where all quite upset angry and teary and emotional. However out of all this one thing we have all said is if it is the last 2 years we get to spend with our sister we are going to make the most of every occasion we get to spend together and really appreciate the time whilst not giving up hope. I am also going to be doing a few things to help out and am going to be putting together a few more fundraising events, the support so far has been fantastic by all, overwhelming and has been much appreciated and has gone towards Medical expences, Travelling Expences and everything that goes with having breast cancer. It has also provinding greater awareness and has brought a lot of people together through the tough times and has also made people relise how precious life really can be. Im calling out again to all friends and family to get envolved again in doing some more fundraising events as the money that we have raised so far is currently exhausted. Whilst sitting there that day the thing my sister said that she would like to do the most was to take the kids away on a holiday where they can all be together for one last great memory and i cant see why that can be made possible. So im putting together a online Auction so if any one can help out wether they would like to donate some items for auction or know some companies that would like to donate there time or some goods would be greatly appreciated plus there will be some great items for all of use to bid on and businesses will also be recognised by there products be online for such a great cause. Plus We will also be doing another few fundraisers in the near future that some of robyns friends are going to put together so If you have any ideas or would like to help out you are more than welcome to get in contact with me and share your ideas and thoughts and know that it will greatly be appreciated It is a tough time but please respect the family wishes and I hope every one is well.
