Dear Church, LaKay and I were privileged to see some of the Appalachian mountains this week. For some reason we are drawn to mountain terrain. I guess it is because vision is so incredible from the top of a mountain, the air is clean and cool, and the word beauty takes on a brand new meaning. Our friend Caleb must have had these same thoughts when he entered the promised land because his focus was on living on the mountain. So much so that he was willing to fight for it even though he was 85 years old.... Joshua 14:10-12 (KJV) 10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. Here is the question for the day. Are you ready to live on your spiritual mountain? It is a place of vision (what God has in store for you), purity and beauty. Why not? Why not be like Caleb and say give me this mountain! It is worth the fight... with God on our side who can be against us? Someone say amen! If feel the preacher speaking through my computer keys, someone needs to make up your mind that you can and will live higher, above the clutter, confusion and chaos of valley living! Say it with me... GIVE ME MY MOUNTAIN!! Pastor Greg
