Dear Classmates, There has been some chitter-chatter about - TopicsExpress

Dear Classmates, There has been some chitter-chatter about wanting a 30th Class Reunion. There are 138 members in this group, and I just added another 11 this evening. I will give you until Monday, October 6, 2014 to respond back to the below proposal. I am willing to set this up, but your job is to show up! Planning an event like this is time consuming, and it is very disappointing to the organizer(s) when people say they are going to come, and then don’t show up. Here is what I propose for a 30th Class Reunion “Social.” I have looked in to renting the American Legion Hall in Enfield, and the following dates are available: Saturday, November 29 2014 (Thanksgiving weekend) – Saturday, December 6, 2014 - or Saturday, December 27 (Christmas weekend). PLEASE VOTE YOUR CHOICE BY MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2014 AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT NOT EVERYONE CAN BE ACCOMMODATED. I have labeled this a “Social” and that means there WILL NOT be a sit down meal and no tables to sit at. The feedback from the 25th Class Reunion was that people wanted more of a social environment, than a fancy meal that comes with a hefty price. I am suggesting the “Social” take place between the hours of 6p – 11p. I propose that in order to keep the cost of the event to a minimum, everyone who plans to attend brings a hot or cold appetizer to share. I am suggesting the cost of the event be $20/single $30/couple. I will supply the paper products. The American Legion has a bar area and a pool table that we will have access to. I have an in with a D.J. that is not going to cost us anything. WHO’S IN?!?!? PLEASE RESPOND BY MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2014 on your choice of date and any comments you may have. We would need a minimum number of 50 people to attend to make this happen! Thank you. Christina (Haverstick) Long
