Dear Colleague, The American Society of Hispanic Psychiatry (ASHP) and the American Psychiatric Association Office of Minority and National Affairs (APA-OMNA) are pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for the Early Career Latino Mental Health Researchers Travel Award. The award will sponsor junior Latino investigators to participate in a Poster Presentation of new or ongoing research as part of a meeting focusing on mental health research and service delivery for Latinos in the age of the Affordable Care Act. The poster presentation and meeting will be held during the APA-OMNA On Tour Event in New York City on May 3rd, 2014. Awardees will also be provided with the opportunity to work closely with a senior researcher who will serve as a mentor for their poster. The goal of the ASHP and APA-OMNA is to foster research careers that contribute to our knowledge of Latino mental health and the reduction of mental health disparities.
