Dear Community, Using the beauty of social media I want to make an official life announcement. Some of you, distant family and friends, may have seen some of my posts about our family and recent events. I am asking for you to open your mind and stand beside me and my family as we experience our fight for equality and respect. My spouse is transgender. We legally married in January and now, as we begin an exciting journey, I have a husband. In a years time we will have gone through a surgery and my husband will look 100% male. This is a beautiful thing, for somebody to look on the outside as they feel on the inside, but it isnt easy. I am telling you because I have identified as a lesbian for 10 years and many of you may be confused as to why I am saying he, him, his, and husband. I am not asking for permission. I am asking for support. If you have an issue with this, please delete me. If youre not with us, youre against us. Especially during this equality revolution our country is in the middle of. I have been through hell to get to this life I now have and I am proud of my family. My beautiful, queer, loving, normal, hard working, INCREDIBLY brave, honest family. Youre welcome to ask questions, but I request that you begin to give us pronoun and family unit respect.
