Dear Congress. Either put on your big boy pants and vote for a new war (which is your constitutional duty), or shut up and sit down. I dont care what your opinion is on Meet the Press. I want to see your constitutional vote. The House sued the President, and would like to impeach him, for extending the due date for one small part of the Health Care Act. Now they seem content to let him wage war without their input. You too, Senate. Put up, or give your pay check back and go home. Cowards. Dear President. You asked Congress to vote on whether they agreed to attack Syria. They wimped out and refused to vote. So there was no attack. That was the right thing to do then. Bombing them now is an act of war. You cant do that. And ISIS simply is not an imminent danger to the US. Other than immediate life saving attacks, like the people trapped on the mountain, you have no authority to wage war without a congressional declaration. Dont go down this preemptive war route. That has not worked out well. Make a case for attacking ISIS, then let Congress decide. Require the Congress to step up and do their job. Thats your job, and it must happen before more of our kids and treasure get sucked into that pile of sand.
