Dear Cyril, How are you. We had a general committee for our annual day programme. It was their decision to put $30 as annual day contribution after the discussion. why I explain the reasons (Only the estimation). 1.At the moment active members nearly 30 2.Annual fee is 50 ie total income =50 x 30=$1500. Sounds good. 3.Now let me explain the cost only - just for June -29th. 4.Hall fees=300.Once we done settlement we may end up in low fees. 5.Food for 130 members as per the decided menu, this is only an estimated cost of groceries 700-800(may vary).This is only because we help our self for cooking. 6.Now cost for gift items? $100-200?. 7.Cost for game associated expenses. $50? Sum of expense.300+800+200+50=1350. Now Cyril how can I meet the total one year with $50. Now the fancy dress competition for kids. I posted the plan for suggestion, as usual no one did no comment. nitially there was a big cry for kids/ children based programme to expand/ show the talent of our children. We had the plan for fashion show for kids, children, instrument music and dance etc... Committee members and myself contacted lot of people,this also done in monthly meeting, email, face-book. only few interested. And now they may conduct the programme. As we now try different methods to encourage people to bring our children /parents forward, We try this and see what happens. This money will not cost the community at all. It is the well wishes of few people who is really interested to make this community to make some thing--- better .The cost come from their pocket, I have to really appreciate that. If it success then we will try to expand it in feature. We need more sponsors too. Cyril I am not blaming any one all are good, but I think people are not coming forward as they lack of trust in the community from some sort of bad experience. Once we can over come that as a community we do not have to look backward Regards Prasad
