Dear Daughter, It gives me great pleasure to write you this letter. You have no idea how much I have missed you and how for a very long time I have desired to put this letter in your hands. The last time I saw you, you were a ruddy-looking young lady. So I knew it’s time to write this letter. You are obviously growing up to become one of the best brains in your generation and a fine general in God’s army. Seeing that you are gradually maturing, I have a duty to instruct you so that you will learn to be wise, and conduct yourself properly for the future God has prepared for you. Millions of words are buzzing in my mind as I write you this letter. I wish I could write all I want to say at once. But that will not be possible. So this will be my first letter and I’ll tell you more in my subsequent letters. To begin with, I don’t want to ask if any guy has ever taken an interest in you. I know that your quiver will be full of them already. Since your beauty is such that men, even in their right sense, will not be able to take their eyes off. But you should know that, some of these guys are insincere. Some want you just to inflate their ego, others want you just to while away time, while others just want to get underneath your skirt and walk away. Don’t think that these kind of guys are found only in night clubs, casinos etc. they are right there with you —- in your church, house fellowship, and other christian gatherings. They are just scavengers looking for preys to devour; and they know how to package themselves deceitfully so their true identity is concealed for a season. Daughter, watch out for them. Do not look upon their faces, or their service; see deeper into their heart, into their intent, and into their true self. This might seem an uphill task, but that’s why you have the Holy Spirit. He’ll teach you and guide you, so that you won’t fall prey to these wolves in sheep’s skin. Do not be fooled by their spiritual language. Some of them even sound like they invented Christianity, but it’s all lies. They are on a mission; a mission to defile the innocent, and spoil the sincere. One more thing sweetheart. You need to guard your emotion and keep it under control. Don’t get yourself emotionally attached to a brother whom you are yet to discern. Generally, affection is the master key to every lady’s heart. A lady does not know how to reject affection. You may not know this, but these scavengers know it. He is going to try to always be there for you and care for you like its just you and him in the entire universe, but it’s all aimed at getting you to give him the permission to gain entrance into your heart. Once he succeeds in doing that, you are going to become so emotionally entangled, that it’ll take much effort and Grace to get you untangled. Am I saying don’t have male friends? Far from it. All I am saying is, be wise and discerning. In my next letter to you, I’ll explain how the presence of affection does not equal the presence of love. But till then, I want you to know that, daddy loves you and grandpa sends his hearty and loving wishes too. Remember what I always told you when you were a kid? “Your destiny is your decision” I know you are soaring to the very top, and I’ll be eagerly waiting for you there. Don’t forget to show your mum this letter and let your friends read it too so that they can all learn from it. I love you daughter.
