Dear Editor.....(addressed to all Channels) I am a very concerned citizen of India, living in Mumbai. I have an issue with respect telecast of sting CD of Media Sarkar in your channel for the last 2 days. Your channel was quick in picking up the news and telecasting it without carrying out any verification. I would like to ask you, you as a responsible news channel does it not have any moral responsibility towards the citizens of this country? The sting actually as i learnt from various channels that important conversations were not deliberately shown and that the CD was doctored and edited. Your telecast of AAP sting has immensely damaged the credibility of AAP and also you have hurt the feelings and sentiments of citizens of India and me in particular. Nevertheless, I would like to ask you a simple question, as to why did your channel not take up the telecast of the excerpts shown in AAP conference on 24th November, 2013. This press conference was actually to counter the sting operation and it showed which important scenes and conversations were deleted. I am also told that the raw CDs have also been handed over to all the channels including yours. Even if you have not got the copies, i sincerely suggest you can have one copy picked up from AAP office at New Delhi. Dont you feel that you should have also telecast the AAP version as well in your channel, so that the citizens of India would have been properly informed. Finally, when you have not taken efforts to verify the original sting CD, you could have on moral ground brought out the AAP version of CD as well. If you are not showing the AAP version of CD, we as citizens of India will start losing faith on media and question its credibility. Further, I would only say that your continuous telecast of original CD without showing the AAP CD version will only erode the credibility of media. Now also the time has not run out, you can if you are true citizen (not as media person) you should show the AAP CD version and also have your unbiased version telecast in your channel soon.
