Dear Everyone, in less than 15 minutes it will be 2015 in Moscow and in less than 9 hours it will be 2015 in New York. Rather than simply wishing you Happy 2015 New Year for you to hear yet again, let me say a few words about 3 individuals Ive met over the years: 1) Irina Barabanova a young Russian woman I met about 10 years ago who was a server in the Lobby Bar of my hotel in Moscow. She is now traveling throughout much of the world seeking and telling us what she sees and what is good, 2) Yana Fomina 23 years, who lives in Rostov-na-Donu in southern Russia near the Black Sea, whom I met in Summer 2010 when she was a 19 year old housekeeper at my vacation hotel at Old Orchard Beach in Maine (USA)...and who has kept continuous contact with me since that time, 3) Roman Batin a young Russian man in his middle-20s who has advanced in 5 years from a server to Restaurant Manager at my hotel in Moscow whom Ive watched advance in position and who has a great future in whatever he may choose to do. Why am I telling you about these 3 persons? Because I simply felt I wanted to do just that for these 3 individuals that I admire. Now I will wish everyone Happy 2015 New Year...and to the Russian people...Merry Russian Orthodox Christmas on 7 January 2015.
