Dear Facebook Friends, The island of BOHOL in the PHILIPPINES - TopicsExpress

Dear Facebook Friends, The island of BOHOL in the PHILIPPINES was struck by a 7.2 magnitude EARTHQUAKE the other day. This is my birthplace. There are towns inland in which the people are stuck and running out of food and water. BOHOLANOS: If you are safe and are strong enough to help others, please take action to help the people who are in need. Gather a group of people who can carry food and water and clothing and flashlights to them. 5 surrounding villages with groups of individuals bringing food and water and clothing to the people of 1 town and/or village is a big help. From Facebook, I have heard of people in Maribojoc and Sagbayan who themselves were somehow able to send a text message and families of the people from these areas and theyve all cried out for help. EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD: If you know of anybody who is FILIPINO, please tell them about the event. They say there is 6 degrees of separation. Someone you know might know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who comes from BOHOL and be encouraged to help the people stuck in their towns. One small course of action has a butterfly effect and by the time it reaches the other side of the world, it will be a huge helpful impact. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: It will take months for the island to recover from the damages. I plan on sending a package of clothing and shoes and whatever comes to mind of what I think people trying to get their life back together would need. If you have anything in your household that you do not use anymore and would like to donate, please let me know and I will send it with my package. Please take a moment to sit and think about what you would need if you were in survival mode and what you would need to get your life back together again. Use your intuition and make decisions of what you would donate accordingly. Please also be advised that BOHOL is a charming island in which people can survive living in a hut with ripped shirts and their fighting spirits. So when you think of throwing a ripped t-shirt in the garbage, a farmer can make use of it, people can wear it around the house, and people wear it to work to make a living. When you look at a jar overflowing of pens and pencils, some kid can use it for school. If you have an abundance of anything at all, provide others with it because someone else in the world needs it and you will be provided with what you need when you are in need. Its the way of the universe. Sincerely, Willma aka Mae
