Dear Facebook: Looking for your thoughts. I was just going some searching on the craigslist and kijiji for some cleaning gigs to make some extra cash. I came across an ad to clean for an elderly lady, down the street, paying $15 an hour a few hours a few times a week - cool. So she calls me and is clearly an elderly lady lol, offering $10 an hour and wanting me to come right now. I mentioned the ad said $15 but she said she spent all her money for Christmas. I said Im not into committing to $10 an hour, but Ill give you some help this week because it seems like you could really use it. She wants me to come three times this week for three hours, starting right now if I can. Which I cant lol she said she really needs someone to help right now. I asked why it seemed like such an emergency, to which she replied she has a broken hand, and walks with a cane, and has laundry that just came in and needs to be tended to but every time she tries to pick something up she hurts her hand. I told her I could come by tomorrow afternoon and would call after morning work ends. However, its all weird feeling - because if theres a lady that needs help, Id like to help; but its Craigslist. Who frickin knows. And then I think too, well if this lady really does need help, she might need a lot more than Im willing to offer. 😬 Not quite sure how to proceed lol.. Suggestions? xo
