Dear Facebook, Please let friends posts be seen in newsfeed. I spend significant time on this social network to be able to connect with friends in my designated orbit. However, the new FB algorithms have made it increasingly difficult for my friends and I to connect and share information. Perhaps up to 95% or more of my designated FB friends do not even see my posts. How is this social? How is it that FB is determining who I get to connect with and who gets to connect with me inside my designated spectrum of equal friends? While I applaud the genius of Facebook, I question whether it has lost its original appealing essence of accessible social engagement. Please do not decide which of my friends are close on the basis of how many times we have commented on each others posts. Many of my close friends and colleagues in real life do not even see me (or my posts) in their newsfeed anymore. FB algorithms have rendered us largely invisible to one another. My friends are my friends and when I can no longer share with them here on FB, my status becomes perpetually poopy. Please return all friends to newsfeed. Please let me decide who I connect with here on FB and let me filter what I want to read or comment upon accordingly.
