Dear Family & Friends: A week ago today our lives changed forever. A piece of our family is now missing, and consequently our family unit is no longer the same. This has been a very difficult time for us and we are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of (Uncle) Tom. However, please know that your presence has helped to lighten our burden. We appreciate the floral arrangements, food, sympathy cards, visits, phone calls, messages, and prayers that have been so generously given. Additionally, thank you to those who were able to attend the services. We found comfort in knowing how fortunate he was to have touched the lives of so many wonderful people. The kind words spoken by family and friends, the never ending line-up of uniformed Corrections Canada staff, as well as the playing of bag pipes provided a respectful and personalized touch in honouring such a hero. Again, we thank you for being a source of strength of which we are eternally grateful. Uncle Tom: As our family divides and returns to our day-to-day lives without you, please know that you will forever be in our hearts - until we meet again. Love
