Dear Family and Friends, I just spoke to Dr. Williams, Beckies oncologist. He had some very bad news. Test results on her protein count this week versus two weeks ago came back much much higher. The carfilzomib, which is the chemo that she has been taking is having no effect on her cancer cells. He says she has a very large population of very angry cancer cells that are growing quickly. After her dialysis tomorrow, she will go on a new very aggressive, very toxic chemo called Doxil. She will receive this only once every 3-4 weeks. She will also be getting Velcaid once a week. The Doxil will make her very ill. She will experience pain, fatigue, and unfortunately hair loss. Please pray like crazy for my dear sweet wife. Thanks.
