Dear Father, cont. When I got here to her room, Mommy was moaning - TopicsExpress

Dear Father, cont. When I got here to her room, Mommy was moaning and kind of frantic. She did not have confidence in PT before, and now they have lost whatever they might have gained as far as she is concerned (I have to admit, I feel the same way!). I was able to talk calmly and directly to her, ignoring whatever was going on around, and she told me about it. Kathy was here, and Mommy took her into the conversation, so she also heard what was said. I was able to find out some of where she hurt, (her head and her rumpus) and we were able to get some hydrocodone for her. Bill Bosse was here, and after Keith, Kathy, Mommy and I had taken care of the most pressing things, I had him come over and she smiled and was happy to see him after he had come all that way. We talked and visited about fall colors, and so forth, till Mommy calmed down and Keith was able to walk me back over to the room where I slept some more, he took care of things at the drug store then came back, and stayed with Kathy at Mommys room. I went and got something to eat, and something for Keith to eat, he stayed with Mommy, and Kathy was able finally to go home, hopefully eat and crash for a while. Ive been with Mommy since about 8:45pm, Keith went to get some sleep. She moaned pretty constantly through one hydrocodone, then another one, and finally dilotid. At about 1:30 am she got calmed enough that I didnt need to stand and stroke her hair, face and neck with angel wings as I told her. Her head and shoulders, especially the left one, seem to be bothering her greatly, and I think I will push for a cat scan on her head (Im concerned about her having hit it when she fell) and X-rays of her shoulder - and this was her good one! Well, if PT has a problem with her being out of it because of the dilotid, I think theyre going to have to accept the fact that they caused it to be needed! I hope Im right and Christlike in that decision. Obviously, we still need all of your prayers and encouragement! They mean such a tremendous amount! Thank you SO MUCH and may God bless you each! I send bear hugs all around!!!
