Dear Fellow Californian, This is a letter to officially inform you that your sprinklers are dumping a considerable amount of water into the streets. You may not be aware of this issue so I thought that I would let you know. You are wasting gallons and gallons of water every time you use your sprinklers. You may also not know that the state of California is in the Third Year of a Severe Drought. WE HAVE VERY LITTLE WATER LEFT. Did you know, that at this moment, hundreds of rural San Joaquin Valley residents no longer can get drinking water from their home faucets because Californias extreme drought has dried up their individual wells? I hope that this will put things in perspective for you the next time you run your sprinklers. Can you go on dumping water into the streets, while many of your fellow California residents are being forced to go without any water? As California Residents we all have the responsibility to cut back on our water usage until the Drought is over. If you want to water your lawn you should do it by hand. Please cut down on the frequency of watering. A Brown Lawn is a small Price to pay for the good of our Beloved State. If you must use your sprinklers they should be fixed so that they will stop spraying onto driveways, sidewalks, and into the streets. Please use our precious resource wisely, before it is all gone. We do not know if this will be a Three year Drought or if we are in the Third year of a Ten year Drought. Hoping for rain is not enough. We must all do our part to conserve. Please take this notice seriously. If you were unaware of your water waist please make yourself aware. If you were unaware of the state of our water source, please educate yourself on the matter. BE AWARE THAT THIS IS A FRIENDLY NOTICE. YOUR HOME WILL BE MONITORED AND IF YOUR WATER WASTE IS NOT CORRECTED IT WILL BE REPORTED TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES.
