Dear Friend, Giving is an attitude which needs to be - TopicsExpress

Dear Friend, Giving is an attitude which needs to be cultivated. If one cannot give 10p out of Rs.1, there is no way that one would give Rs.10 out of Rs.100/- he/she has or Rs.1 lakh out of Rs.10 Crores. Recently, a donor came to us with a specific question. He wanted his children to learn about the joy of giving. In the coming festive season, we thought it would be a good idea to involve our children in this process. We would like to seek their help. A day’s meal to the poor youth costs us over Rs.3000/- for 100 youth. We want to raise this amount through the young children and in the process make them feel really special because they have actually done things which make them special. We would like to distribute 300 piggy banks to such children and encourage them to collect as much as they can and give their donation towards feeding the youth on any occasion that is special to them: be it Diwali, Christmas, New Year, their birthday or on the birthday of someone in their family. We are sure that a step like this would also make them realise the value of money. We seek the help of parents to take this forward. We are ready to get these piggy banks delivered to your houses on request. We want to know how many would like to take this forward. Request you to write to us. We would like to send a letter or certificate to these kids who have made a difference to the world. As one of our donors said, This will also help the older kids with their resumes and in their college applications. We are sure that this small initiative can change the way they think-- forever. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like a piggybank for your child. Please send this email to interested friends, who might want their children to get involved in this process. Thank you very much Team Unnati.
