Dear Friends, As an action-packed summer ends and the beauty - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, As an action-packed summer ends and the beauty of the Fall season sets upon us in Taos Ski Valley, we can’t help but feel the thrill of what we know will be an exhilarating winter season! Since you are one of our most valued and loyal guests, we wanted to summarize some of the most exciting things happening this year at TSV. Our mountain improvements have generated considerable attention and for good reason: 1. The Kachina Peak Lift development is on schedule. The lift tower install created buzz with locals and visitors alike and proved to be quite the spectacle. This is one of the biggest industry developments of the year. Click here to view video of the lift tower installation, and visit skitaos.org/gallery to view photos from throughout the lift installation process. 2. Our expanded hike-to terrain off of West Basin Ridge, the Wild West Glades, is prepped and ready for this season too. It will be some of the best glade skiing in the country! Click to view map of new Wild West Glades. 3. We have also installed new snow making compressors, which will greatly improve operational efficiency while allowing us to open up more terrain earlier in the season. But not all the action is happening on the mountain. To enhance the guest experience, we have nearly completed Phase One of our Resort Center improvement plan, which will: 1. Provide a new and improved shuttle drop off point for guests 2. Create an easily accessible, pedestrian friendly “streetscape” on Thunderbird Road complete with shops and services 3. Enhance our hospitality services by remodeling three base area food and beverage outlet’s: Rhoda’s, Martini Tree, and Tenderfoot Katie’s And last, but certainly not least, Taos Ski Valley will be the proud owner of the charming and storied Bavarian Lodge and Restaurant. Founders, Jamie and Thomas Shultz, will continue to manage it to ensure a seamless transition with respect to the quality, service and experience their guests have grown to love. Click to read full press release. We are especially grateful for the support you have demonstrated throughout this period of transition. It is patrons like you that make Taos so special, and will allow for its continued success as a truly authentic mountain experience for years to come! To support all these initiatives, we are enhancing our focus on marketing and hospitality, including two new hires to lead related efforts– Jesse Keaveny as our Chief Marketing Officer, and a soon to be announced Chief Hospitality Officer. Both will implement fresh and creative programming and services that will improve our operations moving forward. Most importantly of all, don’t forget to act now to secure you season pass before prices go up! We extended the discount deadline to Oct. 27th for both Millennium and Full Season Passes. Visit us at skitaos.org for details including the most extensive Resort Exchange-Day Program in TSV history – ski free at up to 8 unique resorts! We also have special passes for youth, college students, military and seniors. Thanks again for your loyalty. We are looking forward to seeing you on the slopes! Sincerely,
