Dear Friends, As you may know, the government announced that the Queens Hill Site has now been assigned for public housing. While being disappointed, our passion and determination in establishing the Jesuit liberal arts college to educate young people for leadership to fashion a humane, just and sustainable future for all did not change. We are happy to share with you some information about a prospective site, Yim Tin Tsai, a small island in the beautiful Sai Kung area. Yim Tin Tsai (YTT) is a Hakka village that has a unique Catholic heritage. As Vicar General Rev. Dominic Chan is from the village, we were introduced to villagers and we have received encouraging feedback on our vision of setting up a Jesuit liberal arts college at YTT. We are optimistic about the prospect of starting the residential college on this beautiful island, but of course there are lots of challenges ahead. In order to acquire land for campus development, we will soon be conducting feasibility studies, raising fund and seeking government approval. We ask for your prayers, encouragements and continuous support to this meaningful project. In 2014, the College will appoint a President, Provost and VP Finance and Administration. This will bring the College one step closer to being awarded with the accreditation status and toward Cap 320 registration.
