Dear Friends & Family, In 2008 I lost my dad to suicide. I have had so much grief, anger, unanswered questions. For the last 6 years I thought I could never feel a deeper pain. On Sept. 6, 2014 I was proven wrong. My baby brother took his own life & no pain has ever come remotely close to the pain I feel now. Like so many other suicides, the signs were there with both dad & Clifton. They couldnt see past their own pain to see how much their deaths would scar us. They were there to rescue everyone else but would never allow anyone to save them. They felt they had no other options & didnt do it as a way to die but in their minds it was a way to live. I will be joining with thousands of people nationwide this fall to walk in AFSPs Little Rock WalkOut of the Darkness Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in memory of my dad, Clifford Beck & brother, Clifton Beck. I want to honor 2 great men in my life. I want to help support other families who have experienced the same pain we have & if possible help prevent a family from ever having to go through what we have.
