Two legends of the Bengali International Music Industry with International fan following “BICKRAM GHOSH and RUPAM ISLAM (FOSSILS BAND)” will come on stage together for the first time in the world. 2nd MAY, 2014 (Friday) is when it all happens at the EMIRATES THEATRE, Emirates International Road off. Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. “Bickram Ghosh” is often referred to as the “God of Percussion” and the “Wonder Boy of Tabla. He is the recipient of the Grammy Award in Collaboration with Pandit Ravi Shankar for their album “Full Circle”.. “Rupam Islam”, the lead singer of the popular Bengali Band “Fossils” is today the biggest name in Bengali music, be it Playback or Rock. He is the recipient of many accolades including the Uttam Kumar Award to the National Award for Best Male Playback Singer. It is not often that you have 2 greats of the stature of Bickram Ghosh and Rupam Islam performing in the same platform, but when that happens it is nothing short of “Nirvana”. Other than their individual performances, the highlight of the Show will be a special jamming session when the 2 greats will be performing together, which promises to be a unique treat to our eyes and ears – something which has never happened in any stage before.
