Dear Friends, Here is the latest information from Turkey. Prime Minister Erdoğan has returned back to Turkey at 02:00. AKP made an organization to welcome him. SMS messages were sent to AKP members and AKP supporters were called to this welcome demonstration. Shuttles were arranged to carry these people to Atatürk Airport. Istanbul Municipality extended the working hours of metro going to Atatürk Airport. Normally metro trains work until 00:00. But last night they worked until 04:00. AKP Provincial Chairman claimed that they didn’t make any organization to welcome the Prime Minister. People just wanted to show their love to Erdoğan by taking the initiative. Turkish televisions, that censored the uprising, broadcasted this demonstration live at 02:00. Habertürk News Channel claimed that a hundred thousand people welcomed Erdoğan. Of course this was a huge lie. TV channels made propaganda in favor of AKP during their live broadcast. AKP supporters shouted slogans against protestors in Taksim. Some of these slogans were, “Give us the permission and we will crush Taksim”, “Istanbul is here, where are the looters”, “Hands that are reaching the police will be broken”. Erdoğan said that they won’t surrender to the threats of protestors, Turkey is rising and foreign powers are trying to stop Turkey but only God can stop Turkey’s rise. For long year, we have been saying that Turkish press is commanded by the government. They don’t have free will. They just publish what government tells them to do. Please check this link.
