Dear Friends, I am very much saddened by the news from Ukraine, --- the democratic fabric of the country has been torn: previously elected by people governmental and parliament officials are deprived by newly self-proclaimed governing bodies ability to communicate desires of ukrainians in central and local organs of power ( new self-proclaimers set new heads of central and local power); furthermore, new self-proclaimed government instills the atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the country, threatening less ukrainians (different thinking ukrainians of the same or other nationalities) with terror and imposing it ( bank can be broken in and the bandits are permitted to be free). Super democratic way of governing! Self-proclaimed government (not elected by Ukrainians in democratic elections) calls the events happened in Kiev a revolution, in other countries this would be called a riot (recall the recent events in London or Paris, where rioters were destroying private property, violating the rights and freedoms of the other citizens, and the riots as a threat to public safety, as it is supposed to happen, were aborted and obviously, nobody came to power there. Unlike The United Kingdom or France, throwing fire balls into police, using guns, setting on fire private and public property, creating a dumpster out of the Kiev centre is bringing people who create this public disorder to power. They havent cleaned even the square still!!!! International community should protect the rights and freedoms of the majority of ukrainians of different nationalities, not just couple thousands of them and name the self-proclaimed, not elected by people, government illegitimate. News outlets need to start to talk about peace not guns and name things with their own names, otherwise rioters everywhere will be changing the governments. People in Ukraine are not stupid, there will be a soon ending of self-proclaimed government --- this government simply will not have the people to govern. By the way, Crimean referendum is conducted by elected officials and overwhelmingly supported by the population of the autonomous republic (Crimean Autonomous Republic); crimean population were lucky enough to have elected government who can keep everybody safe and away from madness happening in Kiev. Separation of the Crimea from Ukraine is a direct consequence of the sad events in Kiev. I am not protecting the flow of life preceding the riot (weak economy), but this kind of life flow was made by the very politicians who created riot ( they were who had made laws and defined the direction of the country), they had the opportunity to make different laws to improve life of ukrainians not arm people and create public disorder. If the rioters were elected during upcoming planned Presidential elections, the choice of the ukrainians would be respected anyway, at least is would be a democratic election, but not in case of violent seizure of power, creation of dictatorship and trying to set up a democratic election. Sorry, you should not create a riot and then hold elections. There is no democracy in Ukraine anymore right now. Ukraine, actually, had a civilized walk away from the Soviet Union as a result of early 1990s referendum; Ukraine was not chased with guns or threats as a result of it. Sounds like the late Soviet Union had a democracy.
