Dear Friends, I got a call from Self Help Group For Kashmir Flood Victims saying that the ONLY THING THAT THEY REQUIRE as of now are BOATS. Cash, blankets etc are not needed at all and no one should transfer money to any account of any NGO etc for now. It is useless. People are stranded in large numbers and the ONLY thing they are lacking is RESCUE which might be possible through BOATS. Now, the only way as of now for some of us which seems doable is to BUY THEM in DELHI and send them by air tomorrow to Srinagar. From Srinagar airport people will manage to get them. We are trying to look for places where we can BUY RAFTING BOATS. We will most probably meet in Delhi somewhere tomorrow in early hours and try to send them by air around afternoon. If you can help in any way in procuring/sending boats, please let know. Please spread this message and if you can do this on your own also that would be great as well. Else, you could get in touch.
