Dear Friends I want to discuss one issue of percent criteria - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends I want to discuss one issue of percent criteria for govt. aided colleges. It look like that if someone passed his 10th, 12th etc exam in ~2000 or earlier may not get job at all. As I believe that in those days the marking was too tight and now a days marking is very loose. Further in IITs the criteria to include percent, as a deciding factor for admission/IIT Main exam, is justified. Because they do the normalization of percentage from different boards etc. So I want either Education Department should adopt some normalization formula or they should stick to written test. Normalization formula works as: suppose Avg % of marks in 10th for alll passed students is like------------> 1996 passout=48% 1997 passout=50% 1998 passout=52% 1999 passout=51% 2000 passout=56% 2001...........=60% 2002...........=65% etc Then a person passed out in 1996 with 48% marks and the person passout in 2001 with 60% marks should get equal marks in academic criteria. Though this is not statistical. Very soon I will put RTI asking average marks for all years for pass students. I will ask how many students passed out above 70%,80% etc in each year and how many appeared and how many passed. If some on want to help me in this regard, please leave a msg in inbox. if you have any other issue please put in comments or Inbox me. Dont hesitate to share this with your friends and tell them to like this page. So that we can have a proper discussion. -Admin
