Dear Friends, I want to thank you for your tremendous support during this campaign. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to stand as your voice in Congress for another term. As you well know, last night was not a great night for the Democratic Party. The results in many states showed that voters there do not agree with all of our priorities, but the results did show that voters have grown increasingly weary of leaders who do not work together to get things done for our country. I believe, if we focus on civility and not cynicism, that we can accomplish great things working together with the Republicans across the aisle. I hope to continue to deliver for you in Washington. Whether that is improving our public schools, growing our economy, raising returns for our family farmers, or delivering on important projects to make our communities thrive, I plan to continue working hard for you. Again, I cannot express my gratitude for the people of our District and for the faith they have again placed in me. I ask for your prayers and continued support in the days and weeks ahead as Congress reconvenes that all those entrusted to lead our country will put the American people first.
