Dear Friends, This is the face of the Israel I love. 15,000 people gathered two days ago in Tel Aviv to demand that there be a diplomatic solution to the cyclical and tragic intransigence that keeps both Israelis and Palestinians locked in suffering, in victimhood, in the tragic and murderous blame game that is stealing dignity, honor and humanity from generation after generation on both sides. In this inspiring speech of a true visionary and peacemaker in the tradition of the noble Israeli organization, Peace Now, Lior Amichai Noam, shares his outrage at the current situation with the moving example of his friendship with a Gazan woman. These kinds of friendships, he reminds us, are the proof that we dont need to see one another as faceless enemies. The time has come to change direction.
